Message From the King:
Boy, did we have a great turnout for the gun club's pig roast!! Everything was fantastic!! The food, the people, the weather. Perfect, perfect, perfect. It was their 1st attempt at something of this type and I don't think they realized just how much effort goes into something like this but I DO think they did a great job. So pat yourselves on the back boys and girls, for a job well done. See how 200 people picked a 200lb+ pig clean. Photo's are up, check 'em out!!
Well it's August already, thanks very much to Mother Nature for giving us a great July (let's all hope she keeps it up).
Things are going well with the small change we made with our singer. She's sitting with us, under the tent chatting up a storm. Our visitors seem to like it too. And it's fun to order food from the grill with the microphone. More changes are coming, I can't go into too much detail about some of them but starting now we are running our cruises as 'donations only'. Be they $1 or $100. The more shekels you donate the more door prize tickets you'll get. But with the economy the way it is and, cruise attendance generally 'off' everywhere, we don't mind those $1 donations, in a little while, they add up!!
And now a word about our ATF cruises... despite the recent rain, we've decided that it's still WAY to hot and WAY to dry to do much shooting. Some of the guns shoot a pretty good size flame out the barrel and the LAST thing we need is to torch our gun club so we'll see if the conditions are more conducive for an ATF shoot in Sept. or Oct. Remember, you MUST be a member of the gun club to use the ranges.
You may have heard by now that LSGG is for sale, oh no!!! Yes it's true. What does that mean for us?? Don't know yet, so stay tuned.
Still planning on going to Numidia Dragway and still either on the 7th or the 28th (more probable the 28th). And still not 100% sure which date. So if you're interested on coming along, your best bet is to contact us.
T-minus just days till we go to the Great Pottsville Cruise. Aug 8th (that's a Sunday). If you didn't pre-register, not to worry, they have 'day-of' registrations at Martz Hall. Hope Mother Nature delivers a sunny day (but I'd be happy with a rain free one too). Also, there might still be time to book a reservation to our 10/16 cruise to Pocono. Are you coming?? You'd better be. Call or visit 877stockcar.com (leave the .com off if you're calling, duh). It's going to be a great day, the sounds, the smells, the atmosphere. It'll give us all a chance to beat the snot out of a car we don't have to take care of. I can't wait.
