A Few Words About Us
A Non Profit 501(c)(7) Group EST May 2007
Having been active members in other small non profit groups, attending their meetings, helping out with the various club activities, etc etc. We grew tired of all the bickering, squabbling and choosing sides that takes place within those organizations and decided that there was a real need for a club like ours. A 'no nonsense' kinda group where our main purpose is to drive our cars!!!
Welcome to the Lone Wolf Car Club, Free Spirits Chapter - Carbon County PA (and beyond). We are fans of the collector car hobby who grew tired of the typical politics & policies associated with car clubs. If you agree, then you've come to the right place! NO DUES, NO ELECTIONS, NO POLITICS, NO CRYBABIES, NO TRAILER QUEENS! Membership is open to anyone who agrees with us, and everyone gets to be president! Sound good to you? Then please feel free to contact us, and join the fun - you don't have to have a collector car to have fun!
We exist solely on the generous cash donations made by our members, friends and people like you! It doesn't make for a hefty bank account but it does allow us to purchase the things necessary to keep this going (things like insurance, our gaming license, the door prizes/dash plaques and shop items - paper, printer ink, and oh yeah this website). We take whatever is left at the end of the year, which has never been more than ten bucks, and donate it, usually to a child or his/her family. True, there are tons of what I call 'real' non profits to donate that $10 to, but is that money really going to where YOU want it to go?? Probably not, and that's why we prefer to give to an individual in need. Will we ever get big enough to where we will be able to give to charities?? I surely hope so!
